ZUMBA

I always have loved group exercise...and right now I can't get enough of ZUMBA!   I didn't start out loving Zumba, it was gradual.  I had to do it about 5-10 times before I got the hang of it.  But its well worth it because it works muscles I didn't even know about and its a blast.  The hour flies by.

You can click on the title of this post and it will take you to the website and you can see where the closest class is to YOU.

Try it and have fun!  I am going this morning with my new Adidas Marathon shoes! (see pic in previous post!)

Compliments and Trench Coats

So today at the good ol' 7-11 in Hummelstown I was making a pit stop for a DIET COKE and gas after dropping Bennett off for preschool.  The same guy that is working every time I go to 7-11 is working today.

As I fill my soda he walks over and asks me if I have a sister who comes into 7-11 too.  Nope, Just me.  So he proceeds to tell me that a girl that looks just like me..... tall, pretty (thanks!), shops there too.....Only I am skinny and she is heavier than I am.  Well thanks, what a nice compliment random 7-11 guy, you called me skinny!  The only thing is today I am dressed up a little with a trench coat on and some earrings....I'm pretty sure the OTHER girl, the HEAVY one is ME TOO!  Just with sweats and no make-up and without a trench coat to cover  my rear end up!

The funny thing is I do SWEAR by trench coats.  Its the FIX ALL.  If you ever need to leave your house and need to look presentable in an instant, just put on a trench!  I have multiple in an array of colors.  If you don't you should get a simple black- its a MUST HAVE for everyone's closet.  My purple trench from Banana Republic if my favorite!  Here is a picture of it.

So for what its worth he called me pretty and skinny!  I'll just wear my trench  from now on!

SNOW

For all of the 3 1/2 years we have been in Hershey, PA we haven't seen snow like this. We have gotten about 3 feet give or take of snow this last week. We are having a blast snowed in, Daddy even got to stay home with us today. Bennett and Steve built a snow fort and cave...way cool! I LOVE IT!

This is a picture of the first snowfall last week, we have gotten double that by now.  Its up to my waist!

I love how the snow makes it feel so peaceful outside. Even though it is cold, it has a certain warmth about it. I grew up in Spokane, Washington and we always had snow in the winter and its nice to have some this year.

My favorite thing to do in the snow is to make snow angels. I have yet to make the perfect one like in this picture, I guess I'll keep trying.

Kiddopotamus Tiny Diner

The other day at a work luncheon one of my co-workers brought her 1 year old son with her and put this handy  contraption down on the table.  Every mother in the room LOVED it!

It keeps the surface clean that the child eats off of, not to mention keeps the table safe from smashed 'nanas'!  It also has a handy little lip to catch a lot of the food before it hits the floor and suctions to the table so it won't slip off.

I love this thing, and its only about $15 including shipping.  If you order from Amazon you get free supersaver shipping if you spend over $25.  The actual Tiny Diner is only about $10.

Easy to clean, store, and prevents big messes...A MUST HAVE!  Not to mention a great gift.

Trolley Square Banana Republic

One place that is dear to me is Banana Republic.  I have worked there over 7 years now and have met a lot of people who are special to me there and have grown a ton as a person through many experiences at Banana.

I started at the Banana Republic at The Gateway Mall in 2002.  I have always loved retail, it is where my passion is professionally.  Some people don't get it or think its just playing with clothes all day and that's OK.   But really it is so much more.  I love the people piece.  I love creating an atmosphere of helping people reach a goal, whether small like opening a Banana Republic Card or helping someone finish school and have a small income to help along the way.   Some goals are larger like working on overall people skills (this can be rough!)  Working in retail you work with so many people in so many different situations you have to learn social intelligence.  I love the science of PEOPLE!

I started as a Customer Experience Manager and progressed in 2 years to the General Manager of the Banana Republic at Trolley Square.   I LOVE Trolley Square, It was truly a time in my life that I will always remember.  I was able to be the General Manager there for 2 years until my family moved to Hershey, PA for Steven's medical school. (Now we are almost done=) I continued as a manager for less than a year at The Shoppes at Susquehanna in Harrisburg, PA and am still employed part time as a sales associate - I just can't let it go!

But back to Trolley Square because that is what I love today.  I want to give a shout out to Trolley's team because they just lost their store.  Trolley Square Banana Republic closed its doors on Monday January 25th FOREVER.  What a sad day!  I will always cherish the memories made within those walls.  I love so many people who shared that time in life with me. BYE BYE Banana Republic at Trolley Square.  These pictures above are actually the store at Trolley.

The BEST team ever!

Greek Yogurt

Right now I am loving Chobani Greek Yogurt.  It is amazingly thick and creamy, ZERO % fat, and a little tart!  MMMMMMMMMM.......

And you can pick these bad boys up for 10/$10 at Giant most of the time.  Not bad when you see that they are packed with ONLY 140 calories and a WHOPPING 14 grams of protein!

My favorite is the Vanilla with honey drizzled over it!

I also love that they donate 10% of their profits to charities worldwide.  Give em' a try!
